Fact

Harnoor's US immigration status: Green Card holder (Lawful Permanent Resident).

• US: unlimited work authorization, no employer sponsorship needed (no H-1B, O-1, etc.)
• US: NOT a citizen yet — naturalization eligible 2027-ish
• Canada: dual eligibility origin

Why this matters

1. Job applications — Standard 3 questions:

- "Authorized to work in US?" → Yes

- "Require sponsorship?" → No

- "US citizen?" → No · LPR

2. Federal / cleared / defense / ITAR roles — disqualifying (US citizen required). score_jobs.py must filter these out (skip_flags: us_citizen_only, active_clearance_required, itar_required, secret_clearance).

3. Sponsorship-friendly company filters — irrelevant for him (he doesn't need sponsorship). Don't waste filter energy here.

4. International remote roles — green card has residency obligations; long stays outside US risk abandonment of LPR status. Flag any role requiring >6 mo/yr abroad.

How to apply

• Resume generator (harnoor-job-application-generator) should NEVER state "US citizen". Use "Authorized to work in the US (Permanent Resident)" or omit entirely unless JD asks.
• Cover letters: only mention auth status if JD explicitly asks (don't volunteer).
• Application forms: answer the 3 standard questions above automatically when scaffolding application drafts.
• Naturalization timeline placeholder: revisit 2027 — update this memo when status changes.
